Letter to God

 Dear Father God,

I’ve been wanting to start a prayer ministry for a long time, but I just haven’t known how to go about it. I’m not very good at praying, I guess because I’m not very good at talking. Anyway, I’m a little better at writing, so here goes. A prayer blog.

I wanted to start by thanking You for all You’ve done, especially for the beautiful world You created. It really is beautiful. The trees, the rivers, the oceans, the mountains, the flowers. Thank You for Your kindness in providing for us and for giving us a Savior. We truly need a Savior. We’ve made a mess of the world You created. There is so much we need Your help with.

There are children suffering all over the world. Living in the streets. Cringing in hallways. Crying in beds. Starving for food, for water, for love, for protection. Please, help them. Please, hear them. Please, provide for them. Please, deliver them all.

There are children suffering because of war and other kinds of violence. Please, protect them. There are some who have been enslaved. Please, set them free. Please, help them find You again. 

You breathed life into us all. We are all Your children. Please, help us to love You as You have loved us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
